Safari Snorkel to CAI on 5th Gen.

I was wondering if anyone manged to mate the Safari Snorkel to the Cold Air Intake (CAI) on the 5th Gen. 4Runner?
I'm referring to non-TRD CAI, as TRD is very similar to OEM box. The question is more towards the AFE, S&B and similar intakes:

As I can see those Intakes are having oval shaped inlets which are designed to lean against the fender with some sort of the rubber seal, therefore would require kind of an adapter to go from Snorkel rubber tube to CAI plastic inlet.

I have searched over the web and I see several guys did Safari Snorkel to TRD CAI, but I wasn't able to find any info on Safari Snorkel to AFE, S&B, others... so if you have some info, links or anything else, it would be much appreciated if you can share it.

Anything intake that butts up against the inner fender would not work. I had a Airaid intake on my Tacoma that had a small round pipe section that would protrude through the hole which could have been used to hook up to a snorkel.

Yes, this is exactly the reason behind my inquiry.
When I did a Safari Snorkel on my 4th Gen., I have mated it to similar AFE type intake and to do it, I have source out an adapter.
This adapter is why I'm asking this. Did anyone did this on the 5th Gen. And what did you used for this adapter?

CAI is Cold Air Intake. Technically speaking regular Tube-Filter with Heatshield (like most K&Ns) is not a CAI as it takes air around the engine which is hot, proper CAI should take the air from outside. Stock intake can be considered as CAI at some point. The biggest benefit of Aftermarket CAI like the AFE and S&B shown above is to increase the filter element surface to allow more air passage at less restriction and a straight tube without baffles to allow airflow less restrictive to the manifold. As a side effect of less restriction and larger area is engine roar increase (some people like it, some not, it personal preference).
Adding a Snorkel will actually increase performance of the CAI as it takes air much further from the engine and therefore not affected by engine temperature.
In my personal opinion the true CAI brings less restrictions for the airflow due to large filter and choosing basically having lifetime filter.

I know what it is, about 20 years ago I laid one up out of carbon fiber in my VW Golf. I tried to make a long cone from a 5" K&N down to the 2ish" pipe where the MAF was housed. It actually made 10HP on the dyno but was horribly noisy. I also plumbed some pipes from the lower grill vents up to where the factory intake went through the fender and mostly blocked off the filter from the engine bay. It did work, but I still think they are kind of useless.
