Saggy rear end

Hey guys,
I am in need of your expertise. My uncle has a 3rd Gen, not sure what year, that is sagging in the rear. You can't store trailers on the street if they are unhitched so his truck used to sit for long periods of time with a large boat hitched to it.

What would be the best solution to level it back out? I know some years have slightly taller rear springs. Would sourcing a pair of those be my best bet?

I doubt he wants to lift the front so I'm just looking to get something to kill the sag. Nothing drastic-- I don't want to give him a nasty stink bug rake like our 4th gens come with.

Currently the rear sits lower than the front because he carries tools and equipment in the back. I'd like to fix it for him since I have such vast resources (you guys) when it comes to our trucks. Any help is appreciated!

'99 coils are about 1" taller than the '96-98 and '00 coils and they're about 1.5" taller than '01-02s, so they will give it a little rake (maybe more if the front is sagging too, but that's usually not the case). The '99s are a good choice if he'll still be hooking a trailer up to it because they have some room to sag a little in the future. If those days are over, and you want it to sit totally level, I would buy OEM coils for whatever year the truck is. I think OEM is you're best bet because pretty much all the aftermarket coils have some amount of lift.

That was the plan. I don't plan on getting anything aftermarket, but rather picking up someone's old coils who have done a lift and have them sitting around. Unfortunately I know less about 3rd gens than 4th gens so it's more difficult to piece together exactly what will work best.

I have my rear '97 coils and they actually aren't saggy. They were recalled and replaced back in like '02 so they aren't even that old. I'll let em go for $20 for both and I'm in socal.
