Brian it is because the 4th Gens share same link set up as the FJ cruisers so they were designed for the FJ and work on the 4th Gens. I am trying to remember who on here had some on their 3rd Gen. there was a link about a year ago for those guards along with the lower shock mount guard.

I also remember seeing pics of these custom on a 3rd gen but I cant remember or find where.
