Salida, Co area - What to do?

Hey all, I'll be traveling to Salida, CO this week and I was wondering if any of know of any trails or sights that would be enjoyable to see. We will be in the wife's 4runner, but I have already been told that we are not doing any serious off-roading. As a kid I camped out at Billing Lake and I plan on returning to that location. Also I know that St. Elmo ghost town is not too far away so I plan to put that on my list as well. If you can think of any places that I might need to check out please let me know. :thanks:

I don't have any solid advice for you but I've been through there a couple times. The Pancake Patio was excellent for breakfast both times we drove through. My dad was actually born there and I've always wanted to explore that area.
