Salsa red 05 Sport

The Toyota dealer I work for just got a 2005 Salsa Red Sport Edition. I took a couple of pictures of it in case you guys haven't seen one in red yet.

What do you think? I wish I hadn't bought my blue one in May. If I hadn't, I'd have this in the driveway tonight.

I love the color. I don't know if I would have ended up with it, but it would have been pretty tempting. I wonder how many they will produce and how many we will end up seeing on the road. Thanks Granth77 for sharing. When you get the '05 V8 in, take if for a spin and report back to us with your impressions.

That's a nice color for the 4Runner !!!! It's not to red and it's not to dark!!! I don't know that I would have gone with that color but it's definitely nice.

I like the color a lot now, but I think it is the type of color that you would get tired of 6 months down the road. It was very interesting to see though. I think I would be sold if I went to the dealer now and saw it.

I like all of the colors except for the gold. When I traded my black 03 in, I was originally going to go with silver, but around here, 98% of the 4Runners sold, especially Sports, are silver. The stratosphere mica was the rarest color I could get at the time. I'd still love to have this color, but I think I'm going to switch to a new Tacoma next summer.

The color is actually a little darker and richer looking than the picture. I took the pictures with my digital camera at work, so it looks a little washed out. If you've seen the new Camry's red, its the exact same as that.

if they had it for 04, i would have definetly considered it. the stealer let me borrow a red corolla when my runner was in the shop. i thought it was a really hot color for the corolla, so hot that i convinced my friend to get a red one.

I like the red, a deep and rich color. Thankyou for posting the pictures. Personally I was hoping for a bit more RED, like momo.75 posted. Still a very nice color, I could see myself with that red sport 05.

Dunno why, but I've always like red cars and trucks. I think that looks goooood. The only thing I don't like about it is the chrome roof rails with the black running boards. The trim needs to match a little better -- all black or all chrome. Mixing it just looks a bit odd to me.

I can't wait to see one of these in Red with a lift and biggie tires.

Roof rails and the centers of the bumpers are actually silver. It's similar to how all the 2004 were, but in 2005 only the Sport model gets those accents.

In 2005, the SR5 gets a chrome grill with paint matched bumper trim and black roof rails.

2005 limited changes to black roof rails instead of silver and color matched bumper trim.

I think it makes the Sport stand out a lot more since it's the only one with the silver roof rails and bumper trim. I personally like it, some people don't.

The color of the Corolla is actually a little different. The Corolla color is Impluse Red (Code: 3P1), where as the 4Runner's color is Salsa Red (Code: 3Q3)

IMO, the color on Mono's post is too much and Grant's post is too boring. It might look better if the color is in between.

Maybe one of you Photoshope experts can remove the white letters on the tires and change that roof rack to black. This thing is going to look pretty slick then.

The color of the Corolla is actually a little different. The Corolla color is Impluse Red (Code: 3P1), where as the 4Runner's color is Salsa Red (Code: 3Q3)

Yup, although the early 2003 4Runners were offered in Impulse Red until mid 2003.
