Salsa red is the black sheep ?

Of all the 4R colours, Salsa Red sure seems to be the least chosen one judging by reading the posts here for a while. Silver seems to be about the most popular colour, well at least for the TE. My TE is red and I think the blackout accents do go well with that colour. That said, if I could do it over again I'd probably have waited for a silver one to become available.

Too bad there isn't a non-pearl white TE because I would have been all over that as I'm sure many others would be too. Add some black rims and it would be reminiscent of the 2008 FJ TT (had one!)

Sorry, but I think you are posting this on the wrong site. :whipping2

I'd say about 95% of the people on here try to make their 4Runners unique so that it doesn't look like just another average or "popular choice" vehicle.

But if you are asking if Silver is a better color than red, the answer is no. Mag Gray is the best color...everyone already knows that. :hatsoff:

Although mag gray is the best color available, if I would have seen red I might have gone with that. Although that would break my garage rules, only black/grey and must have a hood scoop!

well that and you dont really ever see the red ones in a lot. when we looked for my shoreline blue, everyone had mag grey, black, silver, and BP, but no red, and no blue. i got the only blue one within 300 miles.

I was sort off looking for a trail edition last year. The dealer had a silver one. I have had enough silver cars and wanted the salsa red. It is my favorite color. If I end up buying one it will be red.

I had to look hard to find my red trail 4runner. I think it's the best color. I wonder how many red trails with KDSS were built. However, if the blizzard pearl would have been offered in the trail I would have chosen it.

I wanted to get red, but there was no red around and I didn't want to wait 3 months for delivery.

Red can be a tough color, has to be just the right hue on certain cars/trucks to look nice. I saw an SR5 this summer in the Salsa Red, the only one so far. I actually really liked it. I am surprised I do not see more of them around. Honestly if my mag grey and the red were side by side with the same options I made have had to flip a coin!

Toyota builds a really small percentage of Trails in Salsa Red so just the math alone says that yeh, a lot fewer people with have Salsa Red trails because there are just not a lot of them out there. It is a good looking truck, personally I wish it was more of a fire engine red, I would have been all over that.
