this has been done before, i guess from ur point of view, this forum members 5 TH GEN. RED TE looks like a chicks ride. pretty sweet if ya ask me.

I think Salsa Red looks good on the 4Runner. Mine is Galactic Grey, but I'd buy a Salsa Red without hesitation.
 
One of the users online has Salsa Red on Black rims with a lift and blacked out windows and in my opinion it looks bad a$$.
 
Overall IMO 4Runners are not chick SUVs. I do see women driving T4Rs but again IMO chick SUVs are the Rav4, CR-V etc.

While I am not a fan of the Salsa Red color, the Gen 5 TE above looks nice. However the Gen 4 is another story, sorry. Remember IMO!
 
everybodies got they're own opinion, theres lots of nice colors,i just happened to get red cause the deal was too good to pass on. normally id get blackor one of the other dark colors, thats me, but ive grown to really like the color. just dont call me gay, ...:lol:
 
if anyone is worried about a color being girly, they are insecure...Get it if you like it, nothing else matters....unless someone else is paying for the car; then get whatever color they approve.
 
I actually wanted the salsa red pearl on my 4R. i was just lucky enough to find one and in perfect shape. I am in no way girlie. I happen to like the "red" family and own 3 red cars(Olds 442, GMC Sierra and the 4R).

this is a pretty funny question to me. here's why. i just got my SRP 4R about 6 months ago. prior to the purchase i had been looking to upgrade to 4th gen after having a 2nd gen for ever. i had my heart SET, white sport edition V8. that was it end of story. well the 2nd gen was having some issues and i was pressured to get a new 4R. no white SE's V8 to be found. found this SRP limited V8 and took a look. it was ok to me but the wife loved the color. it was different and pretty rare as there only 2% of 4R were made in this color. the color has been growing on me and now i kinda like it. sorry for long winded post but that's my story. :biggrin2:

oh maybe i should answer the question...no SRP is not girly!!

I'd never own a car that was a color called Salsa Red Pearl...

Nor did I ever own a 2nd gen '90 SR5 V6 that was sold at 205,000 miles to a friend that was pretty darned close to SRP... :thumb3: :guitar3:
 
I love the SALSA RED and I look like GRIZZLY ADAMS.

I see tons of black, silver, white and a few blue, but the red turns my head.

Especially when clean.
 
I like it well enough... There's no doubt with some good wheels that include lots of charcoal/black it's awesome IMHO. I love the color in general and it's ok on a 4th gen. I never consider it a 'chick' color and when done right a 4th gen can look great in Salsa.
