Salvage XREAS ?

I am replacing XREAS on Saturday. Are there any parts or pieces that I should save or salvage that anyone needs?

Planning to pull out all the tubing. Replacing with new KYB shocks and keeping original coils. Also putting on new front sway links and front and rear bushings.

Update post replacement:
Completely removing and scrapping the XREAS was easy. The only difficult part was reaching the bolts inside the back wheel wells. I just cut the lines around that as close as possible and left in place. all the rest was easily accessible and taken out. Use bolt cutters to make it more manageable to pull the lines from where they cross.

TIP: Be careful when unscrewing the first XREAS shock... I was not prepared to take hydraulic fluid to the eyes.

Using the "no spring compressor method" replacing all the sway bar bushings and front end links, new shocks all the way around, and putting in a lift spacer in the front. Also, removed all the XREAS - took me about 6 hours by myself. First suspension work I ever did.

The only thing I kept were the necessities. Front coils and the top plates.. All else went to the trash. I was hoping that the line fittings were compatible with the brake system, but the thread is different...

I saved all the wonderful 10, 12 and 14 MM nuts and bolts. I thought about saving the cylinders in case someone around here needs one. However i have never seen or heard of anybody needing one.

Other than just wanting to "clean" it up and remove the whole system, is there a mechanical or hazardous reason for ripping it all out? Can't you just disconnect at the disconnection points and install new struts/shocks while leaving the tubing and other pieces?

If you don't remove it all, does it leak? Asking because I'm planning on doing the same thing but I was just going to remove the struts/shocks and replace them, reusing the OEM coils and leaving the rest of XREAS alone.

i just pulled the shocks and let the oil bleed out of the lines. still have the reservoirs on my frame and the lines zip tied up. laziness at its finest

Because:

It'll Buff out.. And you'll have the extra gas to get some buffing compound after using the rest of your gas to get to the ER.

My X-Reas failed on my 03 Limited at 138,000 km (or 85,750 miles). There was a leak in the system - in the line behind the Driver’s Side Centre Control Absorber. Leak was likely caused by corrosion of the line due to road salt used up here during our Canadian winters.

When my mechanic removed the X-Reas system, he left the lines on my 4Runner. He must have drained and sealed or capped off the lines somehow, because I have had no leaks.

Your planned course of action in replacing your X-Reas is what I did :)
