I know of Standard auto wreckers at steeles and sewells, its east of markham road.
Another big one is on pickering, but I have never been
I have have not searched either site since buying my 4runner, but I know the standard guys are always helpful over the phone

Hey Silverback....just a thought.....check out Ebay....they have sets of rims that are pretty comparable in price if not better.....hope the suggestion helps....

just got back from Standard Auto wreckers......not a single 4Runner there....lots of Pathfinders and covocs though.
They do have a "Wheel and Tire" area - some good prices and both aftermarket and OE wheels.
They have an "All you can carry day" coming up.
$45 admission gets you access to the grounds and anything and everything you can carry out.
I believe it said May 5th weekend

Well, I have actually not been to a salvage yard. But I figure I could find decent beat up rims and tires for cheap. I figure steelies are the cheapest. They probably wont come in 17s, but I'm find with 16s as long as they fit without touching the brakes and so on...but I think i want to save up for a lift for my front.....too many things to do, but not enough money...

Well, I guess the silver lining is - 4runners are much better trucks and their owners are more knowledgeable thus not buying a pathfinder in the first place

I know this shouldn't go into this thread but since everyone is from Toronto and answering questions and what not....
Does anyone know where I can get an inexpensive "front only lift" for my runner? I want to get one for the rear and pull the fuse on my rear.
Does anyknow which ones are available in the GTA and how much they cost. Also I would need them to install it too. I want to get one because it looks rugged, and I plan on taking it offroad once in a while, but I dont want to pay an arm and a leg.

silverback, because I have a v8 Limited, I have the air suspension in the back. Therefore I cant lift it. So what I will do it lift it with the air bags then pull out the fuse for the car to sit in the "high" postion. As for offroading, Alexjet knows a few trails and I know a few moderate trails. PM for more info...I believe Alexjet and others on the board are trying to organize a few trips this summer.

I run a 2003 V8, but pick up my cornfed 3/2 lift next week when I am down in Boston. I plan to install it on the weekend of my return, wife permitting.
I am also shopping for tires, based on the threads BFG 285/70r17 will fit with possible rubbing at full crank. I think it was Sam's club who have these for $262 a tire - not installed.
If you guys are going to hit some trails, keep me in the loop
