San Antonio 5th Gen Meetup

Seems like we have a LOT of folks willing to meet. So do we want to do a ride and meet at that location or a quick and easy one first month then plan as a group for the next outing?

I'm down for a meet up. Actually the 16th sounds good to me. I work 24hr shifts so some days are just a no go for me.. I have been to hidden falls several times but for a first time why don't we stick to a basic meet and greet. Last one we did was couple years ago and went pretty good. 5 trucks showed up. I vote for a central location to make it accessible for most vs far North or East. Subscribed!

What's this Sat look like for everyone? Or stick to next week sat. maybe a quick breakfast or early lunch somewhere? meet and greet and talk hidden falls run as well..we take up some restaraunts parking lot. Outdoor eating? See the rigs? Place to eat suggestions. Twin peaks de zavala pretty centralized in town.
 
How about Chuy's next to 1604. It's next to that bowling place so there's plenty of parking. Next Saturday Apr 16, located on 8438 State Hwy 151, San Antonio, TX 78245. (??time??)

If we get a good head count maybe we can reserve some bar space or something.

Hidden falls is the most appropriate place to go for moderate rigs. It's 1.5 hrs from SA. There are other places in the hill country.. (Canyons, Trees Ranch) but most are only open specific weekends and generally only offer extreme terrain and require you to be there at a certain time for driver meetings..... They are more of a planned full weekend experience vs just show up and run a few trails.

There are several overland routes in the hill country, but they are pretty much just dirt roads with a few scenic spots and river crossings. 4wd not even required.

You might also want to consider doing this May 12-15.

you gonna be out a jambo this year. i didnt get to meet a lot of the guys on here that went last year, i ended up just running with a group of solid axle trucks the entire time, and patrick from TTR.

Haha! We can push to Sunday or the Saturday after, really anytime except this weekend works for me. It's our first meeting brother, let's get everyone who is interested able to go without having to impede on other plans.
 
I know I suggested Central but what about Fralo's off I-10 and Boerne Stage... Outside seating and eating where we can hang outside and talk trucks!

I do plan to be there. I had plans to go last year also, but a family member got sick. So hoping I can actually make it this year. However, my plan at the moment is to take my solid axle trail rig and let the 5th gen take a rest.
I like wheeling both.. but the trail rig should just eat that place up....

A sas'd Hilux should be pretty awesome out there. there are quite a few interesting solid axle trucks out there. Ill be out there the entire weekend, hopefully wont blow anything up with the new 35's, but we'll see.

Yep. Could I suggest however, a 1030 showtime to actually meet and check out rigs.

When it's final I'll post location, time, date etc and all who can make it can either like or reply back for a headcount. Thanks @hrod for the location suggestion! I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!!!
 
Well hopefully I can make it on the 16th. I won't know until the Friday before what my schedule is. I am hit or miss with weekends. I work six days a week.
 
I may be able to make it. I have a baby shower that day for my own child lol. But I might also have to work Saturday morning unless my boss gives me the whole day off
