San Diego Install Shop - '14 w. KDSS - OME + UCAs

Just pulled the trigger on an OME suspension with Camburg Ball Joint UCA's from Wheelers and I'm looking for the best shop in San Diego to do the work as I don't have the skills to do it myself and wouldn't want to mess with the KDSS system.

I was quoted North of $500 from the Truck Shop in SD - does that seem reasonable? Other options?

Besides my garage I only go to the Truck Shop. They seemed reasonable and I've called other places to compare prices as well. They are always lower and does a great job. You can check other shops to see how they compare. Like you I started without any experience wrenching and this forum taught me a lot. Now I've changed complete suspensions on both of my 4runner, brake jobs, front/rear diff service, transfer case service, tranny service/flush, changed and flushed radiator, added trans cooler. The knowledge you gain is irreplaceable. I've solicit fellow members and now a good buddy to help me tackle that I feel too overwhelming. You save a lot of money as well.

You should ask around of course but I think you will find their rates are hard to beat and they focus on Toyotas vs somewhere like ORW which is an everything under the sun shop.
 
Before I set up a time with a shop, would anyone in SD who has put a lift on their KDSS 4R want to help me out? Obviously beer and food would be on me.

Take it to James, get it done right, no headaches, take it home, look at it while your having a cold one.

PB, did you ever get everything installed? I am new to the area and no longer have my tools but I am an ex-Nissan tech and I ran a small side business back East. Ive done many lift installs. If you have the tools I could definitely help you out.

Also, to be a threadjacker :D, does anyone know of a shop that would be willing to run a weld bead down my stock camber frame tabs? My alignment got banged out while wheeling and tore up my tires and now my tabs are looking a little weak so Id like to beef them up.
 
A little late to the thread here, but how did your experience at truck stop go? I live in San Clemente and I'm looking for a good shop to install a lift kit.

I have been there many times, they did my lift, timing belt, radiator, brakes, no problems. Just sayin.
 
I use Clarence Brown alignment for all my non enhancement suspension items and therefore I have a certain level of trust in their work. Has anyone used them for a lift? My rig has KDSS and i was planing on at a minimum a lift via Bilsteins. I would consider new coils. I would be willing to pay for peace of mind job is done correct but as indicated I trust Clarence Brown but would not desire to be their first lift with kdss.
