San Onofre/San Diego trails

I’m gonna be camping out in San Onofre for a weekend in July. Can you guys recommend some nice trails to check out in the area. There will be a 2wd with me so something easy. Thanks guys

To add to the original post: the plan is to go wheeling on 7/7. Head out early morning and try and be back by afternoon time. Anybody wanna join in or lead a trail run. So far it’ll be my mostly stock 4runner and a stock 2wd Chevy Silverado.

Great recommendation! I’ve actually been out there once before. Looking online and I came across Black Mountain and Anzo Borrego. You have any experience with them?

Borrego will be to hot but I love it out there. Black mountain is easy. There are tons of fire roads near ldyllwild which is about a 90 min drive.

Thanks for the heads up on borrego. Maybe I should save that for a later date once I do better research on it. I’m trying to keep it on an easier level since it’s most likely only gonna be my truck. I’m thinking the Chevy might chicken out. So I’ll definitely check those spots out. Thank you
