Getting everything together for my grill on my '02. I know the OEM grill is a PITA to do so, per advise on here, I am ordering a 96-98 grill and going from there. My question is, does it matter which one I get? I found them on parts geek and they have one "6 cyl" and another "4 cyl" Is there a difference?

I think the only difference is the 6cyl will be chrome and the 4cyl will not be chrome. I ordered the 4cyl one because I painted mine anyway.

Yup, I sure do. Any grille from any year/model of 3rd gen will fit on any 3rd gen. They're all compatible.

Not true, it all depends on the trim package. I own a 4Cyl with the chrome SR5 package which includes Chrome bumpers and grille

No problem man, post some pics when you get the grille done!

Yeah this is true. I was speaking more so about the replacement grilles you get from rock auto and such. The only way to get them to show a non chrome one is by selecting the 4 cylinder truck, and the only way to get them to show a chrome one is to select the 6 cylinder truck. These aren't OEM parts of course though.
