Yes, I hail from the mighty Rockies, but I'm here in IN for school, so I would love to come to this! Will have to wait until a few days before and see how funds work out - Fortunately, this falls on Fall Break for me.

And I don't wanna hear about no pinstriping! That's scary.

And I'm with Adam/Millerad - this is my DD and I have absolutely no time, energy, money to fix anything if stuff goes wrong. I'm just looking to see some off pavement!

And I have no mods relevant to off road. No lift, nada. So I can't be doin nothin fancy anyway.

Badlands!!

I am a new owner of a 99 Toyota 4Runner!!! Very excited but nervous of going off road as it is a 5 speed manual. Rookie to the off-road world as well. Saw the post for the Badlands and would love to participate! Is the 5 speed going to make trail riding difficult?

You should be fine. As long as you are good with gas and brake control. The jeep guys do it all the time.

As long as you are comfortable with the stick and the clutch isn't it's last legs you should be okay. And having decent tires on your truck is pretty much a must as well.

Looks like this is going to be a pretty large group of Toys on the trail so we will have quite the variety of rigs and drivers so just a reminder for the newer folk. You must have a flag attached to the vehicle, the factory hitch works okay for this and I may have an extra one, you will get some pinstriping from the brush and trees, and if you have a cb we plan to use ch 17. I've got my welder setup right now and I'll be around all day Friday if anyone needs any last minute wrenching help. I'll send out PM's to get phone numbers I don't have so that we can coordinate in the morning as well as possible

Plan to see you all Saturday at the park around 10:15-10:30 and the south side Indy folk around 9:45 at Hardee's! :rockon:
 
I wouldn't pay extra either. I think we'll be fine with the guys we have...more than a couple have been through before, and know their way around. [MENTION=53555]Snowy21[/MENTION], we are meeting at 9:45? Just want to make sure, it was 8:45 on an earlier post...I'll be there at either time.

Looking forward to it.
 
Been looking at shocks for the past few days trying to decide what LC shocks I should get maybe before this trip! Right now I have gabriel ultras, that are pretty good but still debating on something that will give more flex and a longer extension. anyone wanna help out?
 
You're thinking way too much into this. Keep what you have, get the LCs, or get Billy 5125s. All three have been reveiwed numerous times, its more of a personal opinion on how you want the ride.

Shit, I don't even know what shocks i have in the rear of my rig and I installed them. They seem to work so I just don't screw with them lol. Then again I've never followed your rig so I don't know how well the rear end works on it

ha, I'll be lucky to change the oil in my dorm parking lot. :P Got the oil and drain pan tonight, just need some wrenches!
 
So I just got off the phone with the Badlands, it's now $20 to get in and do the guided trail ride. No extra cost involved, just have to sign up to participate
 
You can only sign up yourself, since you have to pay when you sign up. With this many people going, I wasn't going to sign up this time...just be cool to know about it in the future.
