Savage Offroad front bumper question

Yea, i'm gonna install it this weekend. I wanted to sell it but i wasn't gonna lose $$$ on it, especially since it was brand new and still in the wrapper. And i waited 3 months for it. Thanks for the compliment on the caddy.

Installed the Savage bumper after work today. I still have some trimming to do. I listed the dented oem bumper on craigslist for $60 and a guy drove up here to Baltimore from Manassas, Va. this evening and bought it. I told him he was crazy.

About to pull the trigger on purchasing a new front bumper for my lifted 2000 runner. I considered Addicted Offroad and read many good reviews about them but their plate bumper is $850, $999.00 with shipping. Savage has a nice looking hybrid plate style front bumper for $550, $708.00 with shipping. So before i order from Savage anybody have any comments about their products & customer service? Thanks.

I have front and rear and transmission and transfercase skid plate. Love them. Light and good quality. Roy is awesome dude.

Thanks, I'd like to get a bumper that can host a winch and would be tough to protect the truck, while not being as heavy as let's say a full plate ARB bumper.

How tough would the Savage be in case of a collision? I'm also looking at the Addicted Off-road one.

If you get a rear savage bumper, with a square tube welded under the plate, and a plate welded under the hitch area, thats because of me lol....

i bent the bumper while pulling someone out with a short strap using my hitch ball. I dont think it should have happend but Roy took care of it. So i am happy. And he reinforced it.

Question — I’ve been looking at these bumpers for my T4R... how do you paint them once you receive them? Do most people rattle can them? Bed liner?

rattle can .....its easy to fix when it gets trail rash on it.

Clean well. get all of the oil off of it, Acetone works, Brake clean also with clean rags.
Then best option is coat with a rust preventive, I used POR-15 brushed on, then rattle canned it. easy to repair if your so inclined to scuff it up. If its not seeing serious duty powdercoat so it looks pretty.
but not very durable and not repairable.
