SAW 1.5" VS Icon 2" Rear Springs

I've seen a lot of comments and pictures regarding these springs, and this is what I know:

SAW give more than 1.5" lift in non-third row seat models.
Icons give over 2" of lift when unloaded.
Both have 10-12% higher spring rate than stock springs.
The SAW springs have less coils than the Icons.


I do not know what having tightly spaced coils means for load capacity and ride quality.

I am trying to obtain 2" of lift and rarely keep much weight in the rear. 120lb tent and 60lb roof rack are really the only things towards the rear.


Anyone have any actual measurements? And reports of ride quality?

I found that my Icon 2 inch rear coils gave pretty darn close to 2 inches w/o third row seat, stock bumpers and stock roof rack. When I ran the 1.5 SAWs the rear lift was more than the Icon springs, but it rode softer. Icon spring measurement is 24.5 lift in rear w/o being loaded up.

I received 2 inches of lift from the SAW, no third row, unloaded. I’ve had them on for over a year.

Icon is discontinuing their 2.0 Springs and going to a 1.5” option, if you go that way get them soon

I have the SAW 1.5" rear, softer ride and ran about 2.25".

unloaded, no 3rd row, and TRDP.

I went from SAW to Icons and honestly, the difference is negligible. Both were right around 2”, give or take maybe .25”. This is on a ‘14 Trail, no third row, unloaded, 3/4 tank of gas. Either is a great choice. I was hoping for a little more from the Icons, but am still very satisfied. Both ride damn near the same. I’d almost bet no one could really tell the ride quality difference if they didn’t know which was which.
