Saw One Today (Pics)

Went to the dealer today because I heard there was a possibility they had one. Car looks beautiful. Interior is a little on the cheap side and the non locking gas cover is terrible, but I like the truck. Alot more chrome than I expected as well. The sliding cargo thing in the trunk seems almost totally useless, they could have put that money somewhere else. With that said, I will be ordering one! :)

Isn't it weird that they have started showing up at dealers but none of them are for sale and there are no stickers on them?

WTF is wrong with Toyota? They must be the only auto manufacturer to release a new model year car and actually not sell them until the next year.

Subaru released the Motor Trend SUV of the Year and new model 2010 Outback back in June.

So Gay

It is probably the dealers fault. Did you ever meet someone at a dealer who know more than you?

Maybe it's because I love my 4th Gen so much... But, I haven't really warmed up to the new model yet. Perhaps it looks less "Ford Freestyle" in person?

You're kidding, right? :) The model year has lost almost all significance relative to the calendar year. The 2010 Camry was out in March, around the same time as the 2010 Corolla and Matrix. Toyota isn't the only one. Probably the worst offender is the 2009 Nissan Murano that has been around since January 2008.

The Toyota site says that the 2010 4Runner "arrives at dealers early November." That means whatever is hitting dealers' lots is probably the showroom, training, or demo vehicle.

The 2010 SR5 is on sale in Hawaii; I've seen at least one on the road with temporary plates. That there are 4Runners already on sale here probably has more to do with our proximity to Japan than anything else.

be interesting to see what other trim levels look like . Overall I like the look but hopefully if an OR package is available it will look more rugged and not like a mall queen .

I'm not at all happy with the chrome accents on the Limited, nor am I pleased with Toyota pulling out the non color-keyed roof rack....same thing they did on the early 4th gens.

I still really like the body and the stance, though

i gotta stop looking at this, i keep wanting one more and more, what kills me is that it doesnt come in stick, if i ever get one ill probably flip the tranny from a land cruiser prado.

Agreed!! I'm just not feelin it. It looks too generic and personally rerminds me of a Honda Pilot bigtime especially the front end and also that dumb looking chrome strip accross the back bumper. The wheels are really lame IMO. I LOVE my 4th gen 2007...every bit of it and especially the wheels.

One thing I DO like about the 5th gen is the 4Runner written accross the tail gate latch. It looks really bold.

Just my 2 cents
