Scan Gauge --- is this cold or what?

Took a picture of my Scan Gauge last week when it was -15. It was parked outside for couple hours and the fluids were freezing.... I got a kick out of it. The response time of the screen was unusually slow due to the cold. The truck started, but a lot of noises coming out from under the hood for the first couple seconds. The steering very hard and the suspension stiff. I guess all the liquids were at very low viscosity due to the cold.

How do you like your scan gauge? Which model do you get? I listen to a lot of Kevin Rutherford on the XM trucker channel on my LONG road trips and I know he had a lot to do with the design.

Started mine once at -24. This is how I felt turning the key.

I've been running an SGII since I had my '99 T4R and love it. Great for monitoring MPG, transmission temp when towing or 4 wheeling, and as a true fuel gauge (DTE.)

I also have an Ultra-Gauge on my DD Mazda pickup, because it has a manual transmission. The UG is OK if you don't need to know your trans temp but the SG has more features and is easier to mount.

I have the SGII. My greatest value from it is to know the transmission fluid temp and instant MPG. The trans temp is useful when towing. It let's you learn a lot about your car since you can get real time data from so many sensors.
