Scan Tools..?

Quatre Coureur

New member
I recently got the CEL light on 2 of my vehicles. On my wife's '98 Accord 3 days ago and on my '06 Wrangler yesterday. Not on my '85 Hi-Lux(290K) or '88 4RNR(230K) of course! Whats a good quality scan tool thats affordable? Fill me in my T4R brethren. Thanks!

This. Get a bluetooth tongle and download Torque Lite for Android.

If you have an iPhone, throw it off a cliff, slap yourself in the face, go buy an Android, and then download Torque Lite*.

Just kidding. You don't have to slap yourself in the face.

Androids are a thing of the past. It's an apple world. Go get yourself an iPad and it will change your life. After you slap yourself in the face of course.

I haven't looked but I'm sure there's some interface for an iPhone or iPad too and I'm sure that it's far superior to any android platform.

Sh!t. I have an iPhone. My wife got 4 free ones when we switched carriers. The nearest cliff is down at the coast. But the face has been slapped(hers, not mine).

Couldn't find the Torque-Lite app for the iPhone. Also the reviews for it weren't very positive. So what about the old hand held plug-in units? What are the alternatives?

There's currently nothing as good as Torque for the iphone that I'm aware of, it's one of the very few areas where the Android platform wins out IMO.

all phone nonsense aside ( since we all know apple is better)

here is a free option go to the local auto store and just borrow one.... no really most of these stores have one behind the desk you give them your ID and run to the parking lot and then bring it back why spend money ?
auto zone, advanced auto O rilieys whatever
