Scheduled DIY

How difficult or important is to it change the brake and power stearing fluid, or do any of the other things that are scheduled for the 30K mile tuneups? I'm a DIY kind of guy if I feel safe in doing the stuff, and it seems like the toyota dealerships around here are trying to stiff me for no more work than they are actually doing. I've done all of the general maintenance so far, oil and filters and they haven't been that bad. They also mentioned that the transmission fluid didn't need to be changed until 100K, is this right?

Oh, I've got a '03 4wd.

AS FAR AS THE TRANNY GOING 100,000 MILES I DON'T THINK I'LL DO THAT.I'MGONNA TRY DRAINING AND REFILLING EVERY 15 TO 20 THOUSND MILES.I MAY DROP THE PAN AT 40THOUSAND BUT THE FILTER IS NOTHING MORE THAN JUST A SCREEN SO IF IT ISIN'T REAL DIRTY I'LL JUST CLEAN IT AND PUT BACK IN.:)
