I just installed the unit & got "ERROR 3" when trying to play/insert a CD. it looks like the unit thinks all 6 disc are already in, when in fact, it is NOT. ANY help appreciated. Yes, I did look at scionlife.com, not much info there other than take it to the dealer -not an option for me :(

did someone just sell me a bad unit!?!?!

DO U think I may be getting ERROR 3 because I didn't put everything (as in all the dash pieces & harnesses) back together before I tested it? should I plug everything up & test again!?!?!

well, I've got some bad news :(

I bought a 6-disc Scion Head Unit from somebody at ScionLife and they packed it in a very little box, with hardly any packing material. The post office dropped the box on its corner and it broke a tab off of the face-plate but everything else LOOKED okay. I took a chance, and installed it anyway, and sure enough, it said ERROR 3 and acted as if all of the CD's were already loaded. There was nothing I could do to get it to work, I tried everything, so in the end I was able to get a refund and ship it back to the seller because he had insured it and because the post office dropped it, it broke it. I'm not sure that it could be fixed, but my guess is that it may cost more than its worth to fix. Because of the luck I had, I ended up buying a single-disc instead because they don't have the changer unit inside which is VERY fragile when it comes to shipping it. I'd try to get a refund from the seller first, and then go from there.
