Scion 6-Disc Stock Radio

So I have the opportunity to purchase a brand new Scion Xb 6-Disc Pioneer Radio to replace my stock HU in my 4Runner. The selling price is currently $430. What do you guys think I should do? Every opinion is welcome !!!!

FYI - When I was looking, 6-8 weeks ago, I had two opportunities to purchase the Scion 6 disk for $350.

I went with a single disc version, which ended up costing me around $100. Either way, the sound quality out of the Scion is amazing in the "feel" mode. Even my wife noticed. :o

where are you finding the scion cd players from? do you think sound quality will be good if i have it power an amp and sub? they'll be around 200w rms.
 
Display color of the Scion Radio

Does any one know the display colors for this Radio ? I am looking for amber color and where is this radio available to buy ?

Single CD prefered !

If you check the Scion website, I think you'll find the radio can change like 6 or 8 colors including our standard T4R color. Hope this helps!

What exactly are the different modes (normal/hear/feel)? It seems like different levels of mids / Bass Boost. Also, how's the sound quality through the stock sound system? Not an audiophile, but I'd like to know so I can determine the bitrate of my mp3 cd's.

Think of normal as the way the stock 4runner HU sounds. Hear just ups all the equilizer bands up a few notches. While Feel adds more bass. I enjoy the xB setting with feel mode on, the xA feel does not hit that hard because it is optimized for a smaller area.

I didn't change anything but the headunit and the sound is 10x better.......... :cool:

I'm still trying to track down the satelite radio components for a "reasonable" price but still no luck...... :(
 
I should be getting my 6-Disc Scion Radio soon. Is the installation as easy as it sounds? Did you have any left-over wire harnesses?
 
Yes it is as easy as it sounds. Everything plugs in from the stock HU. I think the only thing left over is one of the antenna wires.
 
Actually... I posted a message on www.scionlife.com/forums in their Classifieds section. It took a a few days before I found one but I did. There weren't that many people offering them especially the 6-Disc. I think if you look for foxScion ( user name ) he has one left. Send him a PM.

Good choice TranceKrayz. Some of my friends have Scions, and they love their HU. So not everyone is getting rid of them.
