Scion HU questions

Good Day Everyone. My name is Clayton and this is my first post on here. I just had to join after coming across this site and must confess that I find it extremely useful. I've read a lot of post on the Scion headunits (HU) and wanted to ask for your help.

Ok, so here's the situation. I have a 2004 4Runner SR5 with the 6 speaker setup and the factory stereo. I actually like my stereo however I am dying to get a new one. Reading a lot of the past post...its sounds like a Scion HU would be the best way to go because what really matters to me is a clean look, works with my steering wheel controls, ipod control, and an AUX input for my XM (or even better, capable of using XM directly with extra hardware).

So here's my questions.
1) Are there a major difference between the Scion 1806 and 1808 units? I know the 1808 has a different button configuration but other than that...what's so much better?
2) Does anyone have the 1809? If so, what do you think of it? I actually like the look of the 1808 more however the display looks awesome. If anyone has pictures of one in action...I'd love to see them.
3) How can I get XM into my HU whereby it can fully control/display the XM?
4) Why in the world do 4Runners have two antenna cables when only one seems to be needed (i.e. do I lose any capability plugging just one into a SCION unit)?
5) If I had some left over money, would you recommend upgrading my speakers or throwing in an AMP? I kind of like not needing anything else but am open to suggestions.
6) Lastly, I am curious if you could pick between the 1809 or the 1808...which would it be?

Sorry for all the questions but I am very curious what everyone on here thinks. Oh, and I plan to buy my unit on ebay within the next month as I head back home from a year in South Korea. Call it a welcome home gift for myself. Thank you for your help and I just think it's so awesome there's a forum where people help each other out like this. Thanks.

I'd go with the scion navigation unit made by Alpine. I don't know if it has Sat or Ipod connectivity, (I'd assume so) but output wise, it does a lot better filling the cabin w/ music than the Scion HU's made by Pioneer.
