Scion HU Satellite Display

Can anyone tell me about the display on the Scion 1804 and how it displays the satellite info?

I have an 1804 and have yet to install it b/c I was waiting for the Sirius interface, which is finally available.

Will it display ch #, artist, song title at the same time? Will it display any info or do you have to press the text button each time?

Someon pleaes describe what you see when using the XM option (I'm sure it will be the same display format w/ Sirius).

A photo would be even better!

I swapped out the Toyota w/the Scion HU last weekend and added the Toyota/Scion XM reciever(from Sparks). It makes for a clean factory look and you can still use the controllers on the steering wheel... if you had that option.

As for your question with the XM set-up in mind... No and this is the one drawback about going w/ this type of intstall, it will not display all the channel, title, and artist information at the same time. You have to toggle through the info w/the TEXT button. Also, it only show this info up to 10 characters.
It does allow you to use the folder/type button to scan through the different genre's of music. Controlled from the HU.
The steering wheel controler allows you to do all the functions you had previosly (am/fm/cd)... and adds the control of going through 18 preset SAT stations.

So when you hit the text button and it's showing the name of the artist for example, will it stay on the artist name until you hit the button again or does it go away after 10 seconds?

I want to at least be able to look down and see who's playing without having to hit the text button each time the song changes.

It stays on what you you have set.

You do get a station ID when you change stations, lasts about 10sec. Then it goes back to what you have set.(ie;Station/SongTitle/Artist)
