Sorry to cut to the chase, but I've got a line from scionlife.com on a HU and I'm ready to buy, but nobody has posted an answer. I was afraid the question had been buried.
Anyway, I'd sure appreciate any input on whether or not the Scion HU (six disc) will work with the JBL 10 speaker system. You guys are always a wealth of info.

Thanks!

As long as the plugs are the same, you shouldn't have a problem. I put the 6-Disc in my Runner without any problems.

Does your 4runner have the jbl 10 speaker system? There has been some talk the plugs are different. Appears everyone that has installed the Scion radio had the entry radio/cd.

Guess I am gonna find out if it will work as I did buy a radio off of ebay. I do not want to splice wires.

If not guess I will have a radio to sell.

And of course today I received the brand new in the box Scion 6 cd changer I purchased off of Ebay.

I of course have an 04 with the JBL 10 speaker radio.

My luck is consistent anyway.

Well almost had another scare. The new Scion radio came in a box with the part number of the single cd radio on it. I did look up the part number on the radio itself and it is the 6 cd changer. Also the radio had the button to change the colors.

So anyone think a custom harness adapter could be built for the conversion?

I did get used to the 10 cd changer on the Jeep. Would really be nice to have a 6 cd changer instead of the single jbl system I have now.

I still have to figure out a seat solution also. I thought a new vehicle purchase was happy times. Stress at work and now at home because of the new vehicle. Uncomfortable seats, see other post.

Not to be a jerk, but proper research and/or a test drive prior to purchasing would eliminate the "at home" stress.

I hope you find an adequate solution to your seating issue. You may want to look into seat covers from Wet Okole as they have addition padding which may help.

Good luck in your search..............
