SCS SR8 new wheel model

As we keep bumping this up to the front I am still excited and just hope and pray that you guys release something before Christmas

To be honest, it most likely won't happen before Christmas, but it would be a great New Years gift for yourself:boink:.

I was super excited about them until I heard that the outer ring will be fixed and not replaceable. I think that will be the biggest deterrent for this new wheel.

I'm hoping that maybe you will reconsider the fixed ring?

Personally, I would prefer the make the ring removable as well, but I know that it will put this particular wheel at a price point that's not too attractive for most folks. Our company philosophy is to be able to offer a high quality wheel that's well designed and at a price point that's affordable.

Case in point is the TRD Beadlock wheel. I really like the look of that TRD wheel, although quite heavy, it's a beautiful wheel. Imo, it has priced itself out of the market b/c of the integrated removable ring. There's a reason why you don't see too many guys sporting this wheel.

How much do you think they will be if the rings are removeable?

I don't think that most of us driving a 4000 pound SUV that is far from a good example of aero dynamics are concerned about what a wheel weight either. Especially when we want to add weight of armor, winches, lights and big knobby tires.
 
Here are some photos of the stainless steel screws that we'll be using on the SR8. I think that they'll provide a beautiful contrast against the black "ring" around the wheel.

In a couple of weeks, I will post the final 3D version of the wheel. As it stands, we're on track to receive our first sample in mid to late January. The pricing will be announce at that time as well.
