Ummm. Yes I did as well as all of the other SCS SR8 threads on this forum and tw. Did you? :nono:
In this thread on 12/27/2013, SCSPerformance provided the cool rendering of the wheel. On 3/8/14, mxr355 said "Man, i wish this was a real color". On 3/10/14, SCSPerformance said "It will be eventually. Just not with the initial run."
So to be more precise and give kudos :clap2: to 4Running Daily for giving me the benefit of the doubt, have these wheels with this finish been produced and if not are they scheduled to be? I may be newer to this forum but am on many other forums so I try to research before I post.

Sounds good. Just wasn't sure how to refer to this finish or if Vin would remember. Plus, everyone else could see the respone in case there was other interest. It kinda looks brushed as opposed to chrome. Maybe I'll mention "rendering" in a pm and ask him to respond here.

I think it would be a satin chrome or something. Maybe brushed aluminum in natural finish? It would look great on some rigs I think. More along OEM colors. That's what it looks like to me.

Exactly. And I think that's what I'm looking for. My vehicle is red and I'm having a hard time with the black out look. Seems I've got to have something shiny in the wheels. I like the SR8's and of course would love the ring to be bright like the trd beadlocks but I've read where that's a cost issue. At least having a separate ring. Plus I like the light weight since I'm going to be adding heavier tires. So maybe Vin has something in the works.

The grey would look good with red. I went that way on the F5s I put on my FZJ. It looks cleaner. I agree that red needs something softer than black. The raw Aluminum color or grey would work better. I know he ordered more but I don't think he had new colors when I went and picked mine up from his warehouse.

YES!!! This finish will be offered by late June/mid July. It matte gunmetal with a machined lip and bare stainless steel bolts.
Anyone interested, should PM me to get on the waiting list. Pricing will be slightly higher due to the machining work.

The pic finish looks to me more like brushed nickle. So you're saying the wheel rendering will be the same but the finish will be different?

As I mentioned in my previous post, the photo was just a 3D rendering. The actual production wheel will have a machined lip. It will be the same finish that we offered in the Stealth 6 a while back.

Well, here's the confusion. You also mentioned in your previous post on the rendering:

We understood it was a rendering but according to your reply regarding "color" we would see that on a future wheel. So we're going to get a SR8 with a mixture of the brushed finish and matte gunmetal? We were looking for a full SR8 wheel with brushed color but this wheel might be close enough for me.

I'm not sure where the translation got lost, but by real color, I'm assuming that he was referring to the photo I posted. Beyond that, I never eluded or suggested that we were going to do a full machined finish. Sorry for the confusion.:cheers:

Here we go guys, sorry about the delay. This is not the actual wheel. It is only a 3D rendering and this color was only used to help show the details of the design. There are some minor changes to the actual production version, but this is basically it.

Yes. MX355 was referring to the color in the photo. He wanted that to be a real color and you said it eventually would be. I was just wondering when it would happen. Apparently it's not going to. :redbrick:

Had them sitting in my garage since Jan and finally got them on (had to lift the rig first)!!! They look outstanding!
Are those the 17x8.5 matte dark bronze SR8's? Looks really good man

That's too bad. Looks hot in that color combo. Can't be too hard for them to do if the outer rim is removable. Powder coat the center and then machine the lip. Then just clear coat the two.
