SE440BX-2 board questions

This is a slot One P-III mobo. I can get into Setup and do not see the Maxtor ATA133 HD because it goes to a Promise Unltra66 control card/pci. After Setup, it does NOT see the OS. I doubt that the HD is wiped clean (Office network computer) Power is marginal, how else can I troubelshoot this Promise setup?? thanks guys

Does the motherboard have a hard drive connector? Is power being supplied to the hard drive?

HD is powered. about 11.87VDC at connecter. IDE ribbon goes to Promise card, not mobo. Never dealt with Promise Ultra66 before. Maybe the OS was wiped, not sure. any ideas to try?

It gives me a 'no drivers for Ultra66'. So I d/l drivers, put on CD, set CD-Rom for first boot. no luck, I guess you have to click on driver, agree to load, etc. So without windows to help me, how do I load appropriate drivers? kind of a Catch-22 here. Mobo does not see another ATA100 I had with XP on it (IDE Pri). No ATA66 drives handy. ideas??

Just curious what the jumper on the hdd is set to? Anything changed in BIOS? Install mode on, hdd on, etc

It's a Catch-22. Can't load Windows w/o Ultra66 drivers in place. Can't load Ultra66 w/o Windows to open drivers. Tried opening driver file on P4 and burn to floopy. P-III cna't see/open that. I know, too old of a project machine.
I'll scratch this and keep a look out for a P4/800 board.
