Seafoam my 4runner

As many of you may know I am a total newb when it comes to 4runners. But have learned a lot thanks to all of the fellow t4r members here. There was a deal at O Riley auto parts buy 2 cans of sea foam get one free. so I decided to try it. Where exactly should I use it? Pour in oil? Gas Tank? PCV line? Brake Booster? And am I suppose to do it while the engine is warm and running or before then start the truck? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I have searched and read a few threads but I would like to have others experiences and help, thanks!

EVAP line is the easiest, brake booster is only feeding 1 cylinder.

Which line is the EVAP line? I'm going to try gas tank, oil cap, and PCV hose. I'll try those lines also.

I just sea foamed but didn't get much smoke does that mean my engine is pretty clean? Or I didn't put enough lol.

You only get smoke when you put allot in when your gas is low. I put like 1/2 a can in my frontier when it only had a quarter of a tank. It smoked like crazy when I stepped on the gas. so I just drove to a gas station and filled her up.

i had my engine running can took off the pcv line and let it suck in most of the can, like half, then i let the truck sit over night, the next morning i started it up and the place turned white! try that, in the gas would be good also but use a can to half or 1/4 a tank, just so its more concentrated. in the oil use half a can or so to clean it up inside the crank case and such.

oh i had an idea, let me know what u guys thing about this.

my dad just changed the oil in a super old circular saw he has, well he read online to put karosene after you pour out all the oil and use it to clean the insides out.

my questuion is could we put a few OZ or karosene in the crank to clean it out and run till it reaches normal operating temp? by no means would you want to drain, fill, drain with karosene with out any oil, that will trash your heads and lower end.

ok enough yapping, what do u think about karosene for seafoam?
