SeaFoam questions

Used the SeaFoam engine treatment this past weekend and.....WOW....love the huge smoke cloud it leaves. I have a few questions about it though. I've done it once (used about 1/3 can through the brake-booster vacuum line and 1/3 in the gas tank)...can I do this process again? If so, when can I do it (anytime, wait awhile)? Also, I saw in another thread that you can add some to the crank case where you put your oil in....(it doesn't say that on the can....i don't think) but also recommends that you change your oil shortly after adding it (100 miles or so). Has anyone added the SeaFoam directly to the crank case?....how long did you drive it? Thanks!!

The bottle itself does say that for extra dirty engines, you can use it multiple times. I'm intending to do the vacuum lines again on mine (I just did this last week).

It does also say that it can be added to your oil. I have heard much debate as to how long you should leave it in however. Some people say less than 100 miles, others say about 1000 miles. Keep in mind that while it does thin your oil slightly, not having it in for long won't really do much. On an older engine, it may be worth running it for a few hundred miles, changing the oil, then running it again for longer so that you're not loosening all the sludge in one shot, as this could clog your oil filter or settle too much in one place.

Anyone with more knowledge/experience have some input? I'm not a mechanic at all, I just learn from what I see here and do on my one 4Runner...

I left it in the crankcase of my Chevy Vortec for 800 miles. It had a 100k on it. Changed the oil and it's worked fine ever since. Just saying that leaving it in for extended periods didn't kill the Vortec, and it probably won't kill the 3VZE.
