Search Redirect to url2short.info

I started getting a redirect the last couple of days when searching for the T4R.org website. It goes to "url2short.info" website. Tried this on another computer on a different network with same results. Asked somebody to try it on theirs and he got the same result. There have been known issues with this specific redirect and vBulletin (vBSEO) websites in the past. Anybody experience anything/know anything else? Apparently this is an isolated redirect with the T4R website---the system is free of malware (on all three computers checked). I had two techs from different A/V companies remote access my computer and they both came to the conclusion that it was a T4R issue and they both knew about teh previous vBSEO redirect issues with this other website. They advised me to ask the admin to check on website traffic the last couple of days to see if it's down which would suggest that the search redirect is widespread or not.

Yeah I get it all the time too, the second time i click the tr4 link it will go to it.

Do you have an example of what you've searched for? I tried it a few times and goes to t4r.org without any issues. However, I do remember seeing something last night. Can't reproduce

Should be fixed now. Please let me know if you still experience it. Best way to try to reproduce is to clear cookies and perform the search.

The issue was indeed related to vbSEO, had to reinstall it.

I see you reinstalled the vBSEO, so I guess it doesn't matter now, but here are some more specifics for future reference: searching for "4runner org" "4Runner org" or "4Runner" "4runner" or similar phrases would produce the correct website link, but clicking on the link would result in the redirect. This occurred in Google, Yahoo, and a couple of specialized "secure search" add-ons that I tried which lead me to think it was in the vBSEO side of things. Inside topics (i.e. 5th gen or 4th gen sub directories that also appear on the search results were NOT redirected.) Typing in the URL would also result in a redirect. Connecting to the website from a favorites tab or history, would be o.k. If you were successful in accessing the website, subsequent searches would NOT be redirected. I replicated this on 5 computers.

I'm not sure what the tech issues were that caused this specific problem, but one of the IT people I talked to said it was similar to test hacks they've seen the past. They assured me it wasn't anything wrong with my computer, so that's why I wanted to make sure Admin took a look at their software.

I'm glad the problem seems resolved and hope this info helps for future reference.
