Seat belt buckle flip- anyone done it?

The driver seat belt buckle (part that inserts into the "receiver" part) is somehow flipped on the belt so that if the belt is laying flat across the driver, the buckle is facing the wrong way. So, you have to twist the belt to make the buckle face the correct way and function. Anyone dealt with this? It is very hard to get the damn thing flipped back- any insight?

I can't tell what's worse.....this thread, the fact that there's a YouTube video on how to 'fix' this, or the fact that nearly 50,000 people liked the YouTube video...
I recall doing this to my mom's seat belts in the back seat when I was bored as a kid....back and forth and back and forth...wow.
Just...wow.

Wow. I tried that and it was not working. MAYBE some of the buckles are tighter than others- who knows? OR maybe there’s another way of doing it that’s easier or better. I kind of thought that was a main purpose of this forum. Also pretty obvious that I’m not the only one with the issue that hasn’t seen the YouTube video. Wow, just....wow.

I just did this on my newly acquired truck which had one of the buckles flipped. The method definitely works. The buckle may be a bit tighter than on some other vehicles, but it works (how do you think it flipped to begin with? ).

Just keep trying, squeezing the folded over portion hard while trying to push/pull it through.

My dad's was like that. I just made a crease and tugged real hard until I flipped it back over
