Does anybody know how to disable the seat belt buzzers in the 2008 4 Runner? The owners manual just states to call the dealer. Is there an easy way to do this myself? Thanks!

Thanks, I will try this today. I did a quick search and did not find anything about seatbelt buzzers so this will help.

I have tried this method about 5 times now and I cannot get it to work. I never see the b on or b off. Is there something I am missing??
Roostershooter, you may be letting go of the button to fasten the seatbelt.I had to reel off enough belt to have it close and then hold onto it with my teeth.Seems like we need 3 hands to get it all done like they want.We don't have a new printer yet so I had to copy down the directions then sort of paraphrase them to myself while in the truck.It did work the first time though to my surprise.Look closely where it says "while holding button in'', that may be the missing link,get back to us either way......good luck!

Thanks everyone! I got back to the buzzer problem this morning and the procedure worked just fine. I did have my wife hold the trip/odo button down however. You do need an extra hand.
As a side note, I called the dealer here in town and they said it would have to be hooked up to the computer to disable and that cost would be a minimum of $42!!? This forum saved me money already! Thanks again.
