I am purchasing a new 2014 SR5 Premium 4 Runner. I have not even seen what the softex seats look like as my dealer needs to order the vehicle for me. So I have to choose either the Sand beige interior or the Black/ Graphite as those are the only two options. The exterior of the vehicle is going to be white. Do the Beige seats show dirt easily, that is one concern. And the other is that the black and graphite seats look shiny in the pictures I have seen. I wish I could see them in person before ordering, since I can't I am reaching out to those of you who own them to see what your thoughts are.

As far as which may go best with your particular vehical's white exterior, that's for you to decide. Regarding the "beige cloth" for interior use. My 3rd gen sr5 was exactly that and I never had a problem keeping it clean. First of all it is a "synthetic cloth" (likely to be a strand combination of polyethylene, polyester and clear acrylic fiber, but not cotton), so it will resist a lot of moisture. But secondly, beige is a light color, so you have to use your head. If you have small kids, rule is: :art: "NO CRAYONS IN THE CAR!!" :thumb: That's about it. The material tries to stay clean on it's own that's why toyota has been very successful using this type of cloth in their cars/trucks for many years now.
Regarding the graphite black... why not just visit a few dealerships in your area to actually "sit in and drive" an sr5 with the interior that you want to be in your new truck; as you've said, it only comes in those two options so you know they'll have at least one in stock??

I have softex on my 14 TE premium. I love the feel. I'm hoping it is more durable than leather.
