Seat Cover ideas?

So my driver side seat is all messed up and I'm tired of looking at it. I either want to redo the front two with a softer kind of leather or get some covers. What do you guys recommend?

If you want leather there are a number of options out there. I wanted something rugged and waterproof so I went with a custom set of marathon Seat covers in DCU camouflage.

They're not as soft and cushy as the factory seat cover material but much more rugged and durable. They also repel coffee spills. Fit is decent but not glove-tight. Cost was around $250 with all the pocket options.

I went with Marathon because they were the only ones offering covers in a DCU pattern (the old 3-color desert camo the military used from 1991 to about 2004.)

I believe both Marathon and GT offer leather as well.

I have a recommendation. There is an ebay seller cvp_usa that sells excellent fake leather seat coverings. I am very satisfied with the quality, matching color, and looks of his covers, and best of all, not very expensive! Several people have commented on my covers and have ordered them as well. I liked them so much, I bought some for my wifes CRV!

btw you know you can go on ebay and buy a used passenger seat skin and put it on you drivers side right?

I haven't been able to find any used seat covers or anything. If anyone has something let me know, I just need to replace my driver side seat leather and my interior is the stone color.

x2 on what Chitown said. My seats were already in pristine condition (tan cloth), but I wanted to keep them that way. I bought the Cabela's Trail Gear covers for $18/front seat and about $25 for the back bench, so about $60. The material is durable and you can customize the fit fairly exact. My seats were already in good condition so I felt it unnecessary to spend money trying to buy new skins or buy used passenger's etc, although that may make more sense in your case.

The Cabela's are also great for those pesky little kids that like to kick the back of your seat with salt and dirt covered boots. Keeps your 4Runner anxiety down to a manageable level.
