Seat Covers

I thought I would share. I was looking for a seat cover solution to cover the Softex Seats on my 21 Trail. I wasn't fond of them as they get too hot for me.
I ended up buying the Coverking Spartanshield as I didn't want neoprene but wanted a durable cloth that was comfortable.

They seem heavy duty and they are comfortable and very form fitting. They are almost like a tightly woven softer Cordura. We shall see how they hold up but they came with a 5 year warranty.

Sorry about the pics but it was at night inside my garage. The covers are black. They come with headrest covers too but I like my TRD ones.
YMMV

They look great! Wanted something to cover my softtex too! Hmm…their website only has black and gray color.

Curious, why did you want to cover up the Softex?

Also, great call avoiding neoprene. I made that mistake once. I didn't know that "area" could sweat that much. They were promptly removed after a week.

You said it, sweat. Softex is just another word for vinyl. They call it synthetic leather or thermoplastic polyurethane, but in the end its just vinyl and it gets hot. I wanted something softer, that sticks less, but is durable. I didn't want neoprene and everything else didn't seem durable enough. Cordura is nice and durable but isn't as form fitting or soft. This stuff seems to fit the bill. I drove around today and it was a little warm where I was and I can say that I didn't sweat. It's definitely better that Softex. Just my .02

I went with an Endura seat cover from PrecisionFit. They're a little pricey, but they're a 2 piece and very form fitting cover.

I like Wet Okole car seat covers, but it is expensive for what it really is.
Depends on personal opinion. I think they are good quality and should last. I was tired of looking at the torn leather. I like the extra pockets too.

Since this popped up again. Made it through summer with these Spartanshield Covers. Definitely happy. They stayed in place, easy to clean, and most importantly cooler than the Softex. If you are on the fence they will send you a sample of the material.
