2003 SR5, V6 4x4 Dorado Gold
Tan Interior, cloth seats, 16 Wheels
Hi!
I have owned four Toyota products....
1) 1994 Toyota Camry XLE
2) 1998 Toyota Tacoma
3) 1997 Toyota 4Runner Limited
4) 2003 Toyota 4Runner SR5
Have any of you noted this seat problem?
All of these products have been outstanding.... With the exception of the 2003 gassing out the drivers compartment & the wobble in the seat.
I could not drive vehicle with rear window down due to fumes. I had the pipe turned to the side like my '97.
My first contact with Toyota (About the seats) suggested that he'd tell Toyota to redesigned the seat (SR5 Non-leather - Non power seat) ... and that if I still don't like it, I can take the vehicle to arbitration. What the hey is that about?
The service bay guy noted the wobble in the seat, and comment on it. And, to be told that "All the 4Runners do this." Hello? The seat that wobbles? "They all wobble...." To me this seems like a reason to address it. It's not a go-cart . . . It's the #1 rated best
mid-sized SUV by Consumers Magazine. Maybe there could be some sort of class
action thing here huh?
Plus, the seat cloth is begining to roll-up at 12,000 miles. The dealer stated that they all do this cloth roll, and some even start at 5k miles. No defect. My '97 had 90k on it, and the seat never rocked, wobbled or rolled.
