You'll have to make two notches in the liner to fit. I haven't done it yet on mine till I get the final production plates in. Same with dremeling the plastic feet to cover up the bolts.

I'm only going off the posted photos and just eyeballing my truck so I might be missing something you've already figured out. Could the bolt holes be drilled slightly closer to the bend in order to pull the bracket up a bit higher and avoid having to modify the mat(s)? It would likely require removing a bit more material from the top corners in order to get a socket on the bolts but it shouldn't affect the mount itself.

Higher up means less the seat can move forward. So no. Won't work. You could also elongate the holes if you wanted but that's up to you.

I will do a current headcount later today to talk to the machinist about doing the first batch and anodizing.

The trick is I designed this FOR ME and my needs, and some others hit me up about wanting one, so it can't be everything for everyone sadly. A rear plate would be nice but wouldn't allow you to fold your rear seats down effectively, also accessing a fire extinguisher back there wouldn't be as easy as behind your legs. Also here's the issue with behind the seat: Actually installing the bolts. The mount has those 45 cuts on the edges to allow you to get a socket wrench extension down to the bolts, otherwise you will have a hell of a time (I found that out on the first prototype). So the rear would be a lot tougher.

As for multiple uses, yes, absolutely. It's drilled for a standard H&R extinguisher bracket pattern, but 30 seconds with a drill press and you can do whatever you want. It's just a platform.

A few notes. Let me know if I am going too far. I am attempting to help and sometimes overstep my boundaries due to my injuries. Just know it is in good faith.

You where speaking about having issues with bolting them down and the plate interfering with the bolts. Why not make the mounting brackets seperate from the plate, ie countersunk bolt into a thread piece. I know it would take a bit more trial and error but may give you the ability to have more adjustabilty and different mounting option. IE behind the seat, could be mounted at a slight angle still giving you the ability to adjust your seat in a lean. Or differnt brackets for the front and rear using a modular plate.

I agree that you could add more holes as well. But if you are talking about manufacturing them then having these precut for you on a water jet could be an excellent option allowing you to go ahead and do cut outs like say a molle pattern as well as certain bolt holes in strategic places. Which would gie the most flexibilty to the end user without having to resort to finding a drill press. Or just pressing your luck trying to drill it.

An I missed having a keybaord and dont know how I typed all this time on an ipad without one. ...

No idea, if the seat rails are the same then yes. If not...no.

Here's the rub, I designed this for my specific needs, as such when I factor in design time, manufacturing, and anodizing, I basically make about 5-6 dollars each on these, and I'm giving all that money to the guy who did the CAD work for me. I'm not making a dime on these, and nor do I want to go into full on production with them, it's basically a situation of "I made a thing, if you guys want a thing you can buy the thing."

As such I think design is done and validated, and while it MAY work on the rear, it'll be a tight fit, I mean it SHOULD fit on the rear if you bend the mounting tabs flat, but the fire extinguisher on the rear limits your passenger's feat and isn't really going to make accessing it easier.

I also considered looking into mounting the plate so that it hooked into the part of the seat that actually travels forward, but it required taking the seat apart and wasn't user friendly or easily removable in a pinch.

No worries and I complete understand. It is good to be able to share these things with others. We need more members who have the capability, time, and skill to do nice tings like these to share with other members who are looking for these types of things.

We're going to do an intial run of 10. After that we may do another run of 10. We may do 20 total and call it quits. Like I said I and the CAD guy don't want to get in the habbit of selling these as an actual product if that makes sense.

I was just referring to being part of the 10 (hopefully) and when does it get going?
