Hello everyone from the Noob.
I have an 89 4Runner that I am looking to swap the old worn out seats with some newer seats from another vehicle. I purchased some seats in real cood condition out of an 96 Honda Civic off Craig's list because the front mounting holes were at a similar angle to the stock ones and the span was the same.
I had to flatten out one mounting tab in the bacl and will have to tack some studs to secure the rear of the seats as the rails are longer than the factory stock ones. The main problem is that the seat sits a bit cocked and is a bit higher than the stock one.
Any ideas or am I just going to have to beat them into submission?
I could swap out the old rails but I would prefer to use the new ones as all of the adjustments work.
I'll post some pics later.
