Seat Swap?

I have a 2001 SR5. Does anybody know what years of seats are a direct bolt in replacement? Can I assume that all 1996-2002 seats are interchangeable as long as they are power to power or manual to manual? Thanks in advance. I did search but did not find any specific answers.

I'd say 96-02 regardless manual/auto/power. Plugs may be different for power seat options but nothing that couldn't easily be modified.

Has anyone ever seen one of these installed in a T4R?

Although my front OE seat is in perfect condition, I must say it does not work for me after an hour or so of driving and would be interested in a swap to something else as well.

Those look like the seats on arcade games like Initial D, etc.
I like your idea though.

Fab the seat rails on some Recaro seats. Now THAT would be impressive, thus blowing my mind. I would be compelled to give you Rep points as well, so consider it.

I just put these into mine Corbeau: Sport Seat

At first I wasn't sure I liked them, but realized rather quickly how much better they were than my worn out seat with 240,000 miles on them.

The brackets they sell work, but they aren't the best.

Resurrection... do you have any pics of these installed? I've been looking at these as well as some TRD replica seats local to me.

They are peppered all through the build log. You'll just have to go through and look if you really want to see them.

Here's a few though

I'm curious, how do you feel about those seats now. Are they the right seats for the application, comfortable, durable etc. Did you have a chance to check out corbeau's other offerings in person before settling on those? I'm pretty sure I need a set of corbeau's, but I'm torn on which ones.

I think they are working fine. I've been sitting in them for a year almost and they work well. They are a little more firm and stiff than the factory seats but they have been fine for multi hour drives too. They feel more like sports car seats than caddy seats in other words.

They sell corbeau fitted seat covers for them so I guess if you plan to be extra rough you could just cover them from the get go. The flip side is that if you wear one out you can just buy a new one to pop in its place. Probably the biggest chance for wear is the outside edge but I try to make sure to lift my butt over it instead of sliding over it.

How does the height compare to stock? And how do I talk myself out of the sexiness of the LG1? Corbeau: LG1
$100 more per seat helps, but maybe not quite enough

Not sure but I will say the sport seats rub against the center console and door pocket when you slide them forward. I'm tall so I leave them back anyway so not a big deal and if you pulled forward and left them it's not a big deal but if you adjust them a lot it could be a point for wear. On the height there is no issue as it's not that much higher than stock.

Anyway my point a that I would use the sport seats measurements as a max size for fitment.

Yeah that LG1 is a sexy seat. The ones I've been considering are:

BAJA RS
SPORT
BAJA XRS
LG1
MOAB

Based on TXBonds statement of keeping it no larger than the Sport, these should all fit as they are all no wider than the 22". I just don't want a seat with a high butt bolster to climb over all the time cause it will be a pain and wear out.

I need to find these locally so I can go sit in them. Hard to make a decision from a picture.

I've sat in one of the baja suspension seats in a 4 wheel parts store and it felt more cushy than the sports. Vert comfy but no adjustment on the seat back which I didn't like.

Yeah the RS doesn't have a reclining back which is a red flag but the XRS does. I think that's the main diff between the two.
