I think they have side air bag compatable seat covers in the Japanes domestic market. Look on Japan parts .com and you could order your stuff through jason at Burtmanindustries.com

Will the Wet Okoloes work on those seats? They make some nice custom seat covers. I am getting ready to order some for mine but I do not have the airbags.

I've had my truck for a little over a year and i'm starting to see some wear especialy on the driver side. I could go without covering the back of the seat and just cover the Buttock side.

I personally don't get it. If you cover up the leather you lose everything you bought the leather for. Why not just have gotten cloth to begin with.
That said I would just take care of them well until they are beat and then get the aftermarket leather put on. A whole truck will go for $800 to $1000. So just the front seats would probably be about half of that and all the while you get to enjoy the leather you paid for.

Why do you want seat cover when you have leather? The reason I wanted leather in my SE it because it's easy to clean up then cloth.

Seat covers are made to preserve and protect the factory seats, right?
By the way, those of you with leather, how do they hold up to wet, sweaty, or muddy passengers; kids; dogs; etc.? I know, some of you are thinking why would I ever let the above in my 4runner, w/ leather.......But our 4Runners were bought to use and have fun with, as well as be an everyday vehicle.

Leather seats hold up really well to all of the above. Having 2 kids under 4, I am regularly cleaning up from them. The leather cleans easily with a warm wet washcloth and some mild soap (or a baby wipe). Then treat it with some leather protector (Zaino has a great product). The leather seats in my wife's Yukon are 5 years old and still in excellent shape. They are even a light tan leather!!
The only downside to leather is very hot days. That leather can get downright toasty!

VERY toasty... 1st degree burn "toasty" if you're not careful. We love our leather furniture in our house, but I don't like leather seats in vehicles at all. Oh, it looks really nice, but leather doesn't breath, so on hot days wearing shorts your legs stick to the seats! In the winter they're freezing until the heated seat element warms up. The passengers just have to suffice with the old-fashioned seat-heater... their butts. Cloth is SO much more comfortable IMHO. I can sure see how leather would be much nicer for cleaning up spills, kid's accidents, etc. But I don't have kids so that's not an issue. Also, there are poor-quality leathers and there are better-quality leathers, but ALL leathers, despite upkeep, begin to crack and stress and generally look really bad after 10 or so years from normal wear. I don't have to maintain the cloth seats in my 93 pickup at all, and they still look like brand new after I give them their bi-annual steam clean, with no obvious wear at all. So... I guess I just don't understand the attraction to leather. Give me cloth any day!
