HI all this is my first post. I have a 2002 4Runner. On a long trip the seats become very uncomfortable. A back ache and my left leg goes numb. I love the vehicle and want to keep it. Before I did anything with a trade I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what seats would interchange with mine. Something more plush or with lumbar, etc. Thanks for any help!!!

well my 98 seat is a power seat with leather and lumbar control i dont know what kind you have post a pic?

There are two available seat styles available on the 3rd gen. One seat is just a seat without any controls past recline and forward/backward. Flimsy, non adjustable headrests.

The other is a "sport bucket" seat, available manual or power, with lumbar support. The bottom of the seat is adjustable, as well (height/angle adjust). Also comes in leather and has available seat heaters. Fully adjustable headrest.

Having a 96 with the first set of seats pictured and a 99 with the second set I can definitely say the 99's seats are waaaaayyyyy more comfortable! The other seats were pretty unbearable- I finally replaced them with a junkyard set out of a Mazda. Took some modification, though.
