Seattle Snow Storm

Any Seattle 4Runners in here? I am curious to know how well they handled this storm. I would love to test my 4Runner in these type of conditions but want to make sure it can handle it. I was watching the news and saw some crazy things like 10 hr traffic jams and hundreds of people ditching their cars on the freeway including many SUVs (didn't see any 4Runners though).

The 4Runner is the best bad weather vehicle I've ever driven; you should not have any problems with snow. I have been in over 12" so far and it was hard to get the vehicle to lose control. Traction is a non-issue!

We are supposed to get some snow/ice here tomorrow (thurs). Ive had my truck since may '05 and have yet to drive in snow. Im looking forward to testing it out, hopefully the dunflops with 30k miles on them will do ok.

I'm curious as well, the best vehicle I've had was my 03 1 ton Ram. With 1500 lbs of cummins hanging over the front axle it went through the snow with nary a problem. Hope the 4R is as good.

I got my first chance to try my Runner in the show tonight. We got around 12 inches of snow and on the highway tonight there were sections where the snow had blown into piled around 2 feet tall at least. Being as late as it was there was no one else on the road so I took my time and enjoyed driving through the deepest parts of the snow, where no one else had dared to tread yet... I could hardly even tell that i was driving in the snow, let alone snow almost as tall as my tire. It was great fun. I was thourougly impressd with how well the Runner handled.

Well wouldn't ya know we got the storm from Oklahoma this mornin'. I am damn impressed with the runner and with the Cooper STT's. Straight line tracking was excellent as well as grip, as you accellerate from a stop, even in 2wd, you can feel 'em bite in and push you on your way. Braking is very good as well, you are still on snow and ice though and need to adjust accordingly. I am very happy with both decisions. Cheers.
