Well we are getting hit with another round of snow, supposed to be 20" again by Friday night.....started out as a heavy rain and then sleet and now snow....

Is it sad that everyone at work is worried about the drive home and I am looking forward to it :D

It start snowing in Toronto 1/2 hour ago. I just checked the parking lot. We have 3" already. Everyone is leaving home. I decide to wait for another couple hours and then drive home, should be more snow = more fun. ;)

well made it home, took the long way and back roads, even stopped at the bank to drive a little more in the snow.....

The little 4Runner Gnome that lives in the truck beeped at me about 3 times as I got a little loose in some corners, but all and all it was fun...

Starting to really pile up now.....winter was late but it is arriving. I can hear all of you guys that live in Cali and down south, just shaking your heads going why do they live up there??!???

Because we have snow which fun to drive, especially when only few vehicles can even go forward and passing by catching the sights of those who stucked.

us so-cal folks are just a couple hours away from snow...

how far away are you from the beach?? :D

True that! Best of both worlds. Snow and half pipes the first day, wind boarding and sand castles the next.

well I am about 2 hours from the beaches of Lake Superior, but of course Lake Superior is about 40 degrees year around so that doesn't really count does it...... ;):

only an hour after my first photo from the back door and now it looks like this....I did put the snowboard on and went for a ride down the back side of my fence, piled up at 8 feet high from the plow....nice thing about the 4R is I can always get the the ski area tonight....

Sorry probably boring people with this thread, people want to see action shots of the 4R in this snow, not pictures of my backyard.

Yup, 50"+ of new snow at Northstar. You know where I'm headed this weekend. ;):

I feel bad for the folks who got caught in that storm and just sat on the highway (road closures).

What do you mean "the next"?

I have gone snowboarding in Big Bear in the morning and surfed in the afternoon on the same day!!!

... at least a few times in my life.

The closest thing to that, that we do in the midwest, is I have had my furnace and air conditioner on in the same day :D

Well the drive to work this morning was fun, the streets had only been plowed the day before.....I helped my neighbor, by pulling her out of her driveway this morning, VW Bug, I told her to pull back in the garage she wasn't going to make it 2 blocks......

Those workers plowed the whole city last night. There is no place to have some fun :(
By the way, my driveway was covered ~7" when I got home last night, and after I cleaned it I found this morning additional 2".

My buddy just emailed me this photo, of his driveway, considering I store my snowmobiles in his garage in the photo, I am outta here, no time to work when we have snow like this to play in. I told him not to plow his driveway to see how I do getting there.

We are getting hit by a big storm today, except in the form of rain! At least I am not the only one who waits until the roads get really bad to drive home. I really like when I am the only one on the road. Make sure to post pictures of your 4Runner getting through your buddies unplowed driveway. Those picture you posted are nice, but definitely making me jealous!

Ahh Man!

Let me tell you how frusterated I am with this snow. I drove back from Iowa for the last time last weekend for a week in St. Paul and then my next assignment in SoDak. Battled an ice storm the entire way up, coated my 4R with ice and snow and sleet and who knows what else. I get home and go to lift my kayak off. It didn't register in my small brain to ask for help, the weight of the ice-coated boat was too much and the ass end came down on my passenger side mirror and dented my door. Dammit!
So I brought it to ABRA on Monday and they took it Wednesday. I am getting it back this afternoon. So I drove my Dad's Grand Marquis to work yesterday, not the best snow ride. Really wish I had my truck, now you guys and all your fun stories are really getting me! Oh well, at least there will be some unplowed snow to play in somewhere around here.:bash:
