Seeking Tire Recco for 97 4Runner

Just purchased a '97 with 105K miles.
Has some work to be done (brakes, alignment, emergency brake, tires).

Would appreciate recommendations for tires.
I purchased this as a tow vehicle for a small (1,500lb) boat and trailer. My requirement is a tire that will still ride well/smoothly on the highway, but also provide decent grip/traction on your average wet boat ramp.

Can I get both? If so, what brand and model?

id say youre looking for the bridgstone dueler a/t revo in 265/70/16 or 265/75/16 (most prefer the latter -- fills in the wheel well better).

it offers smooth, quiet ride and good grip in snow, rain, etc... im sure itll grip well on the wet dock.

a LOT of people run these and love them.

i bought the new Goodyear "silent armor" wrangers.and i love them to death wouldnt trade them for anything. i use them off the road all the time.mostly beach stuff and do some minor trailering (2-3 atv's). a bit more pricey then the revos but highly suggested . i prefer the 265/75/16 like Lee said because they fill up more of the wheel well.
