Self Assembled Bumpers

I'm looking for options on self assembled bumpers for my 2004. Wondering if anyone has any experience with doing this or knows of any helpful information.

I'm thinking about this as well. The CBI looks pretty good, but is so damned heavy and bulky looking. It very well could be that it was necessary to design it that way based on the dreaded "crossmember", but I remember seeing someone with a much lower profile rear bumper/tire carrier. It may have been crozhawk's. Regardless, I can do CAD design and I've got a friend who welds for a living, so I may add this to the other 1,362 projects that I am working on.

Yes, big and bulky wont do. I may just have to go the route of self design as well. I want slim/low profile front and rear. I'm still trying to decide if I want the tire carrier on the bumper or look into another option...
