Separating the body from the frame?

Maybe this is an ignorant question but I've seen others who have done a body/frame swap with a 3rd gen and was wondering how hard it would be to take the body of my 4th gen off of the frame? I'd like to get it off and spend a good amount of time wire wheeling and coating the rust, replacing body mounts, doing some other restoration work. Any ideas?

To lift the body to install body mounts? Not too bad.

To remove the body, powertrain, and strip the frame to it's base component to restore? easily 30~40hrs.

Not to the base frame component necessarily, more like a rolling chassis with engine, drive train, axles, fuel tank, etc all still attached. I know a body lift is fairly straightforward, but what else would have to be disconnected in order to fully pull the body off?

Steering linkage, most of the wiring harrnesses going to the engine and other components on the body. The brake lines, coolant lines/radiator, ect.

I guess it would be easier to just paint those things that you can reach out while the body is still on. if things get too rusty at some point, then it would be best to just get a new chassis and replace it the old one.

I don't know if this is related or not but I too was recently trying to lift body from frame. I was wanting to install a toy tech 1" body lift but it seemed like the rear bumper was still attached and I don't know what to do. thanks in advance for any help or direction
