Seperate Wheel & Tire Forum?

I was actually just tossing this around, and was wondering why this board couldn't legitimately warrant its own 'Tire & Wheel' forum. There's almost nothing performance related to them, at least not in the extent I believe that most would be searching. I just find it to be a tad of a nuisance when 95% of a page/search is all about "What tires should I get..." threads being asked all day long, or the endless "BFG A/T vs. REVO" topic :bash:. I know over on the FJ Cruiser Forums they have it set up as a serperate forum and believe it works out very well. Much easier to search, and given the amount of tire and wheel activity that goes on in here, might just make things easier...

I would have to say that I agree .

Tire and wheel is pretty specific and we do have tons and tons of those inquiries . Search is always a good function , but sometimes there maybe new updated experiences that people want to add as a thread about a certain tire or problem and we all know unless you doing a specific search this new info could end up in numerous forums and be overlooked in general reading which is something we all do. I get more ideas and info just from general reading of something that catches my eye than I do from a search.

Update on tire choices.

I will be purchasing the Continental tires in the next few weeks. I was able to push almost 60,000 out of my Michelin CT tires. Consumer Reports does rate the Continental tire very well and is one of their picks.

There needs to be a separate wheel & tire and Performance forum. Its been months since I've posted here and there isn't one thread on engine performance???

I'm surprised with the whole new forum update that this wasn't included since it's such a specific topic that no one can seem to get away from. With the new search, I couldn't see the problem now with segregating 'Wheels & Tires' from 'Performance'. Got a lot of hits and votes on this, couldn't see why it can't still be done?
