Serious help needed '20s not balanced

anyone here have 20's installed and if so what did you have to do to get them balanced? The place I boguht them from still has not balanced them because they are waiting on parts to come in for there balancer. I have spent $120 on balancing at 2 different plancs and still vibrate at 50-55mph. I am not told that I need hub rings...Any truth to this? Please help I have been driving unblanced tires for 2 weeks now and it sucks!

I had mine balanced at discount tire on their road force balancer. they are perfect at any speed.

Yes, Discount Tire has a decent computerized balancer. It sometimes takes them 2-3 tires though to get it perfect. Best place is the dealership. If it is a reputable one, and the wheels are OEM, they have the proper machine fitment on their equipment.

hunter engineering is located in st.louis and I have toured their plant several times. Very impressive! The gsb 9700 is awsome and is the balancer you want to find. You can reduce the road force but if you can't get it under 25lbs of rfv you should be able to get a replacement tire with a printout from the GSB9700 showing it. The lower profile tire will typicaly have more rfv. My cobra had 3 tires over 40lbs of rfv. I was able to reduce them all to under 24lbs with the gsb 9700.

Also if I remember correctly mercedes says their vehicle must be aligned on an alignment rack from hunter.

Yea I read that post and mine did get balanced by the Hunter GSP9700 and still having issues. I was talking to my neighbor who is a mechanic and thinks that the lug nuts are not correct. Seeing that there is a difference between the thread gap of a lug nut from the front to the rear. The Front have about 6-8 thread gap on the lung nut and the rear may have about 2-4 thread gap. They did put on different lug nuts from the stock so maybe that is the cause????

I asked the dealer when I got my Sulfer TSB to balance the tires and they said they would not even touch it because the yare after market..

come to find out it was the rims that was the issue. They are going to get me new ones..
