Seriously on the fence here. Keep it or push it off a cliff?

I posted a week or so ago about my 97 SR5 having what I thought at the time was a blown head gasket. After starting the tear down and seeing oil in the intake manifold caused me to forgo the HG swap and start by changing a PCV valve, swapping plugs and wires. Everything was great for a few days 80 or so miles driven (no smoke and starting like a champ)

However today on a hot start it had a good 5 mins of pure white sweat smelling smoke and a really shaky idle before it smoothed out. Still no oil in the coolant or milky oil. Also doesn't seem to be getting low on coolant. Will be doing a compression test very soon to see what I can confirm.

Long story short the thing has 250k on it and I'm not sure its worth the investment of my time and money to do a HG swap... So I'm looking for advice from anyone who's been there and what your results were. Fix it? ditch it? Also If I were to stick up for sale I'm not really sure what it would bring. Thanks

I was going to say sell it to me, but your too far away.

That's too bad. I'll probably be posting it on here and Craigslist very soon. It is a 2WD and I would rather invest the money in a new 4x4 with slightly less miles that can be my new project for a while.

Fix it then sell it. The body looks great! You would obviously get more money out of it repaired than not. Good luck on the 4x4 hunt.
